Nice to see GPSU is back in action!
Does anyone have the terrain.pkz USA file for the 8100 they can post? I lost the one I had when my SD card stopped working and it's not included in the map updates that were kindly posted here.
Thanks !

Thanks, downloaded and placed in \NAVIGON\map on my 8100T but not being taken into account so far, maybe it's the wrong directory.
i am not sure of the folder structor on the 8100T but the person Ronbo i got the links from has one he would be better to help you go here and post your question.
i just thought of something what software version you using is it design for the 8100T or 8110T if it is a different version from other device then the pkz file will not work you will need the terrain_NA.nfs or terrain_US.nfs. also you will not see every hill and slope. this will show mainly in mountain areas. do a demo of some place you know is in the mountains you should see it then

hey runrun77 what you have to do is make a sub folder inside the map folder then name it terrain then put the terrain.pkz in that folder it should work. i asked ronbo and he told me this thank him for the help
Hey thanks, I wasn't able to connect for a few days, will try that now...nope, not working, maybe because I have the upgraded my 8100 to 8310 and running 7.4.3 ? Maybe I need terrain_NA.nfs or terrain_US.nfs then, but you're saying they are not as detailed ? Thanks again !

Still working on it, downloaded terrain_NA_US.nfs (thanks for the hint!) and placed it in the /map folder but still no terrain, I guess the software doesn't know how to use it, maybe the option needs to be activated somewhere...
give a update if it worked..
Unfortunately not, in spite of jstduit's help. Maybe it's just not possible since the 8310 was not released in the USA. There's only been one report of terrain working on the 7310 and never confirmed...
