Navigon for WinCe 5.0 GPS

Can I install a Navigon on a Magellan Maestro 4040?

Hi Dupree,

I have a little problem. I don't know why but when I change a setting in the GPS Option and I restart the GPS, the setting is not saved. Also, the language and time format are always asked when I start the GPS, the settings are not saved.

Hi willowgate,

I`m not sure about that.. Have you checked the UserSettingsLanguage file?. If the setting is not changed one possibility is may be the archive mode of your file is disabled. What you can do is to right click on the Navigon Setting folder (or the UserSettings and UserSettingsLanguage files), select Properties, check on the Archive option and disable (uncheck) the Read-Only mode.

I checked and the archive option is "checked" and the read-only is "unchecked". The file UserSetting doesn't change on the disk, only in memory. Any other idea ?

Also, what is the "Service Activation" in the GPS options ?

Do you know if there is a POI Q2 2010 North America, like the MAP or only POI Q1?

Hi Dupree,

My previous GPS software (Destinator 9) was execute on the "Residant Flash" and the map was on the "SDMMC" (my memory Card). The Navigon software is bigger and all the files are on the "SDMMC". Do you think is the source of my issue ?

Also, do you know if the "Building 3D" are available for North America or only for Europe ?

I solved all my problems using this version "Navigon MobileNavigator 7.4.3 build 793 for PDA [320x240]" and I added only the file Hardwarelayer.dll from VARJOMIES.

I'm running Navigon 7.43 on an Insignia cnv43 without an unlock (using autorunce.exe and usershell startup screens... have everything but bluetooth/tmc working at this point)

Does anyone know what settings to change in ApplicationSettings.xml that causes 7.43 to shut down "battery level critical" on start-up with ac/usb attached.

Works fine if I boot up on battery (no message/shut down) and add ac/usb once software running,(battery is fully charged)
