    NRT

I followed your instructions, but came to a hold.
I've downloaden "http://navmanunlocked.wikispaces.com/Unlock" and copied your navcore to SD card
I ve downloaded autoactivate.exe, but there is a problem. It does not have a ttnavigator.bif!
    Can you help?

    Re: Navman F10

    Fixed it!
Downloaded it again, started ttnavigator.exe and this time it worked.
the ttnavigator.bif was created by the device

I've put some maps on the SD card, autoactivated them, but tomtom does not see them.
How do i activate the maps?

    Re: Navman F10

Hi guys, i have it working now. thanks @NRT

@Shape, if you thought you've already done everything in the right way as what @NRT outlined here, please follow below steps.

    1. Create a folder "My Documents" (without the quotes) in your SD card root directory
    2. Move or copy your map folder into the newly created folder
    3. Restart your Navman F10 and it should work fine now

Let us know how you go. Cheers

    Re: Navman F10

I'm looking to do just this to my F10. I have purchased the correct USB cable, I will need to buy an SD card too.

Can the SD card be accessed after the F10 has been jailbroken to save the maps on or do I need to find a cardreader somewhere?

Yes it will see the sd card when the F10 is connected to the computer, but a card reader is quicker in transfering files.

    Re: Navman F10

Hello. I'm new to Navman (never used/seen one before). My brother in law wants to update his f10. I'm getting TT navigator 7, just wondering, can I actually install/use one of the new maps that I use for my GO 630 onto the Navman f10. I have Australia's latest map from here, Australia v880_3865, is that able to be used or is there another type of Tomtom map to install? He basically asked to get 'the latest' maps as he is running into the problem of friends houses in new areas not being on his Navman and wants a way to have the (almost?) latest maps put onto the unit. I was thinking of TT navigator from what I've read here, just trying to work out how to do it, can't see any info from google readily available on how to do this, but I'm doing lots of research while watching some movies tonight.

Thanks for any help, hugely appreciate it, trying to update this unit is doing my head in, doesn't seem too user friendly for someone who hasn't used Navman before (not a big windows user either, have been a Unix user/admin for 20+ years, Windows isn't my 'first love' for computing heh)

    Re: Navman F10

First thing to do is make a backup of the F10 to your PC.
Unlock the F10 with: http://navmanunlocked.wikispaces.com/Unlock (make sure you also read the section on Creating Shortcut)
Suggest you down load this version of Tomtom to your sd card: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

You need this map: Australia_880_3811 and an activator. you should be able to find links to these on this site.
Then if you are feeling confident you could try iGO8: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service just follow the instructions, you will need to download the latest map for iGO (or Primo) and copy the contents to the relevant folders.

    Re: Navman F10

Ok thanks, I'll see if I can get that going. I tried stuff from a post "cauli" (something?) and the keygen stuff wasn't included, found it somewhere else but of course, it wants the DeviceID ran from a Tomtom software app, I can't run apps on the F10 at present as when I scrolled to it in a filemanager, "file could not be loaded" or whatever.. Oh well, it's driven me crazy, hence my poor grammar/expression at moment! I'll use your post to see I get somewhere positive! Thanks
