Hi, I have a question, sorry if there is an answer already somewhere in forum but I couldnt find it.
It is regarding navigation in Opel Insignia, version Navi 600 by Navteq.
Is there any maps that could be loaded on this navigation, for example whole Europe map.
Originally I got southcentral Europe on SD card, and of course would like to expand it on whole Europe.
So which are possibilities (if it is possible at all)
I'm sorry to spoil the thread, but I spent several hours to solve the problem with SD cards with maps for 600 and 900.
There's no ph... way to get active copy of SD, why? You should get started from the beggining... SDcard means Secure Digital, from Wiki there are different types including those with additional chip in it which is controlled with vehicle's navi system in this case. So: no chip no validation for SD card, sorry.
The only way would be unlock (reprogram) navi in the car, like some of printers that check chip on toner cartidge.
Another solution (I've chosen): Buy an original used SD for Europe from recently crashed car, it's 4x cheaper, but still at the cost of plenty mobile devices with free navi or even branded device with a lifetime update incl. navteq maps (TomTom).
Just a small question, just to avoid spent hours in useless searches on Google.
We can say that there are NO WAYS, at the moment, to CRACK Opel Navi 600 ? That is, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO install a new map without buying it?
The SD CARD is UNCRACKABLE?
I don't understand why we can crack almost all GPS navigator, but not the Navi 600 ...
And why all the Others GPS systems don't use the same protection of Navi 600 ?
NO it's NOT possible to crack Opel Navi 600/900 SD cards..Protection is CID (Card Identification Register) based which is the part of SD hardware and it cannot be modified or reprogrammed. And you can be sure that some other vendors use the same or the similar protection (Ford, Nissan, Audi (RMS)....)
