I had exactly the same problem, with a different gps device, after uninstalling miopocket. With no access to usb or sd, there is no way to change the registry back to original setting.
The only solution left is to reflash the device rom. Look under <settings>,<system info>, for information like platform version, software version, firmware version, etc. You will then know what
firmware is required to reflash your device.
From the website: CPIT, portable GPS car navigation systems the flash firmware is available from them ( third line from bottom ).
Try contacting them for the firmware.
In such operations is important to not confuse firmware with flash rom contents.
In theory you can also format your flash rom, but devices should be still accessible.
In some devices there should be an "hardware" reset that permits this, so you can re-download the old or new software in flash.
If device has an sd card there shoul be always a way to execute executables on it.
In 90% of cases reflashing firmware is completely useless (until officially recommended) and obviously always dangerous.
@raffetti
All gps device operate in an embedded operating system environment, which by defination, is a firmware environment.
I have assisted dozens of cases where miopocket had rendered a gps device into a zombie state (bricked). The symptoms, invariably are, the device is unable to access the sdcard, and at the same time unable to be accessed via usb. This renders the device virtually dead to the "outside" world - with one exception.
The one exception, which I have seen in all gps device which I have come across, is that gps devices always looks for firmware update/upgrade on cold boot, before booting up the embedded operating system. Some may call it the "backdoor" to the gps device.
Using this backdoor access to gps devices, we have been able to unbrick 100% of cases where miopocket caused damaging changes to the device WinCE registry or does not restore pre-installation registry to the device during uninstall.
