    Re: insignia NS-NAV01 and NS-NAV01c and miopocket

    The menu system for the NS-NAV01c is here It has icons for starting IGO8, IGO_Primo, MioPocket, and LK8000. The files for these applications still need to be installed, as well as maps, pois, buildings, etc.

    I have no way of testing this menu, so if you have problems with it, let me know and I'll try to correct the problems.

    Dohcacr,
    I'm new here and just bought the NS-NAV01 from BB. Could you please send me your link to the IGO8? Thanks a lot!

    Re: insignia NS-NAV01 and NS-NAV01c and miopocket

    Hi again,

    I ran GPSScan_Debug and confirmed that for the NAV01C:
    GPS uses port="7" baud="4800"

    I also used dohcacr's new .rar file for the NAV01c and confirmed it works OK.
    The time on the clocks on the main page is incorrect, but that's probably because I don't have anything to set the time zone.
    Also, minor point which didn't affect my install, in mainpage.ini there's this line:
    Command = \Flashdrv Storage\mioautorun\launch.exe
    which I believe should be changed to:
    Command = \SDMMC\mioautorun\launch.exe

    Thanks again,

    - Blue

    Thanks for posting the gps receiver info. The clock will not be correct until a nav app makes a satellite connection and updates the time. Apparently, the NAV01 has no way to store the time.

    With regard to the miopocket launch command, when miopocket installs it also writes a miopocket directory to the internal flash drive, as well as the SDMMC, so either launch command should work.

    Did you get LK8000 to make a satellite connection?

    No problem, glad to help the group.

    LK8000 worked OK when I tested it by driving to work this morning. It's pretty fast to get a satellite fix.
    Haven't installed miopocket yet, I'll get LK8000 working and then play with other apps.
