    Re: insignia NS-NAV01 and NS-NAV01c and miopocket

    HI everybody, I got Insignia NAV01 working with latest release of MioPocket. I installed both Miopockrt and IGO 8.3 on SD card. When I am trying to run the GPS I am getting 2 types of errors:
    1) out of memory error
    2) Can't find path, maps are isolated

    every time is one or the other, not together, but GPS is unusable...

    Please advice

    Under Miopocket Settings, you will find a setting that will shut down Miopocket when starting Nav apps. Use it! If you need more help, post your sys.txt.

    sys.txt is in the igo8 folder. It's a text file. You should be able to view it with notepad and copy and paste it into your gpsunderground post if necessary.

    One other thing. Typically, an igo8 installation does not include the maps, buildings, pois, and dem files. Those items usually need to be downloaded separately, and moved to their appropriate folders in the ../igo8/content/ folder.

    [folders]
    app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

    [interface]
    skin="ui_igo8"
    vga=1

    Re: insignia NS-NAV01 and NS-NAV01c and miopocket

    I managed to get IGO_PRIMO to work fine.
    Another question: I have two of those GPS units. When I am moving the SD card from one it is working on to the other one nothing is happening. Why?
    BTW, that's the correct sys.txt from my IGO file:

    [folders]
    app="/Sdmmc/igo"

    [interface]
    maxzoom2d=6000000
    show_exit=1

    [map]
    2dheadup=1

    [rawdisplay]
    screen_x=480
    screen_y=272

    Re: insignia NS-NAV01 and NS-NAV01c and miopocket

    this one belongs to IGO-PRIMO that seem to work fine:

    ;[device]
    ;type="asus_R700"

    [folders]
    has_secondary_root=0
    ;sdcardpath="/SDMMC/Primo"

    [debug]
    experimental_features=1

    ;[rawdisplay]
    ;stretch=1
    ;class="auto"
    ;screen_x=480 ;для устройств с разрешением отличным от - 480x272 надо раскоментировать ничего не меняя
    ;screen_y=272

    [interface]
    extra_settings=1

    ;[shutdown_time]
    ;interface=0 ; для отключения устройства при прекращении питания

    [gps]
    set_messages=0
    ;port=7
    ;baud=57600

    [sound]
    ding=0

    If you have two identical units (insignia NS-NAV01s) and the SD card works in one but not the other, I can think of three possibilities.
    1) You said you were using Miopocket. If you haven't installed Miopocket on the second unit you need to. Miopocket installs itself in two places. A small but necessary part of the installation is on the internal flash drive, and the rest is on the SD card.
    2) The second unit is defective.
    3) The second unit is running very different firmware than the first, which is highly unlikely.

    Re: insignia NS-NAV01 and NS-NAV01c and miopocket

    Finally got to try all this. And I already hit my first roadblock.

    I copied all the files from the rar file to the SD card. I'm getting the following error:

    Error #2
    call StorageCard\WLNANavi480_272\Launchpad\SystemInform ation.exe

    I formatted the SD card with both FAT and FAT32... Any ideas?
