Re: Windows ce core 5.0 on a uniden trax 353
I tried the diversion. None of those files worked. This is what I did;
I copied Mobile Navigator to root of SD Card.
I moved GSFinder to SD:MobileNavigator/Apps/GSFinder/.... It wouldn't launch from the GSFinder icon. (btw none of the icons launch anything. The Apps folder is empty except for GSFinder).
I tried all 5 packags again using only basemap you supplied.
I reinstalled GMXT for win mobile 50020.
I Downloaded Add2WM and copied files to \Garmin\Apps\WM directory
I left Mobile navigator on root of SD card.
I tried launching garmin mobile xt.exe and autorun.exe on device, and launching from th garmin icon in Mobile Navigator.
No Joy.

Re: Windows ce core 5.0 on a uniden trax 353
None of the other icons on the Windows utility page launch anything because their respective application has not been loaded to the \MobileNavigator\Apps directory yet, except for GSFinder which should have started up when you pressed the icon.
Can you confirm that in the \MobileNavigator\Apps\GSFinder directory, you have the following files:
GSFinder.exe
GSFinder.txt
GSFinder+.txt
unlha.dll
unzip.dll
If not, make sure it is, and launch GSFinder again from the GSFinder icon. Do not continue with the following steps.
If already so, try this: Go to \MobileNavigator\Main\ directory and double click on setup.ini to edit this file.
Go down the page till you see this line:
Command = \SDMMC\MobileNavigator\Apps\GSFinder\GSFinder.exe
Replace SDMMC with StorageCard, so that you have:
Command = \StorageCard\MobileNavigator\Apps\GSFinder\GSFinde r.exe
Save and try to launch GSFinder again from the GSFinder icon.
(Depending on what has been defined in registry, WinCE refers to the sdcard as SDMMC, StorageCard or Storage Card. There is no point in proceeding further unless we can determine by what name your device use to refer to the sdcard, to access application programs.)

Re: Windows ce core 5.0 on a uniden trax 353
Ok I edited that line to;
Command=\Storage Card\MobileNav... and the GSFinder loads up.
Note the space was required between Storage Card.

Re: Windows ce core 5.0 on a uniden trax 353
Alright, now we're getting somewhere. Try the 5 versions of garmin again.
In the sdcard, have the following:
Garmin
MobileNavigator
shell.ini
Go to \Garmin\RunGMXT\ and edit Garmin.mscr using notepad. Change all occurances of SDMMC or StorageCard to Storage Card(with the space), if they exist.
Try to start garmin using the garmin icon.
If that does not work, using GSFinder, navigate to \Garmin\Apps\WM and double click on Que.aygshell.exe.

Re: Windows ce core 5.0 on a uniden trax 353
Out of those 5 versions only the 350 version has occurances of SDMMC or StorageCard in Garmin.mscr. I edited it and tried to load to device as you instructed but it doesnt load.
The .mscr file only has 3 lines of text where as the other versoins have over 100 lines of text. Is there something wrong there?

Re: Windows ce core 5.0 on a uniden trax 353
The different versions of Garmin cater for the peculiarities of each hardware. The garmin.mscr attempts to work around differences in registry definition, hardware port assignment, etc. Hence the widely different requirement in the garmin.mscr script.
The 5 versions I gave you are from working versions of WinCE 4.2, WinCE 5 and WinCE 6 gps.
Have you tried using GSFinder to start from \Garmin\Apps\WM\Que.aygshell.exe yet?

If you remove shell.ini from the root of the sdcard, do you still get the unlock menu when your gps starts up?

Re: Windows ce core 5.0 on a uniden trax 353
When my device starts up it starts at a folder tree.
I have to click Storage Card\Mobile Navigator\MoblieNavigator.exe
Removing shell.ini didn't change anything.

Do you mean Windows explorer starts up everytime you switch on the device?
