    Magellan GPS Maps???

I have a Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS that I would like to update. The device is 4-5 years old, and Magellan wants too much $$$ for the upgrade. They want more than the device is worth at this point. I see no discussion of Magellan on this forum. Is it not possible to get updates for the anywhere else?? Thank you

Thanks, but I have seen those posts in the torrent link you posted, and none of them work for the Maestro 4040. The other link you provided is only for the handheld Magellan topo devices. I am prob going to just give up on this one and chuck this thing!! Thanks anyway!

The best bet is to run a popular nav software like igo on it, that is what I did with my Maestro 3250 and I am very happy with the results.

    Re: Magellan GPS Maps???

Sorry for offtopic, but i am new and can`t start a new topic (maybe an admin can help me and make this reply a new topic). Someone gave me a LongHorn GoGo 800 GPS sistem ( ), but it didn`t had the SD card in it. I`ve tried IGO8 on a SD card, but the device won`t start the navigation program - the igo8.exe was in the root of the sd card. When i click the navigation icon, nothing happens. Does anybody know if this device supports IGO and how the files/folders should look like on the SD card?
