    GPS unit for VHF radio

    Hi

I'm looking for a GPS unit with NMEA 0183 output at 4800 baud, 5 volts signaling. I need this for a VHF radio, hence the required baud rate and voltage.

The device need to be fairly low-cost and not necessarily waterproof.

Thanks a lot for your advice.

Your best bet is to find a GPS mouse on ebay (NOT THE USB TYPE), look for a RS232 version or one that comes with a pocket pc (Ipaq) that someone is selling. Ive used several with my Kenwood TH-D7e (i made a little box with some batteries in to power it) and it works fine
