    Xanavi Birdview Navigation System

Does anyone have information on this system to change to English. It is a Nissan Cefiro import to New Zealand and the GPS is built into the dash with the DVD unit in the Boot.
It opens and works well but all in Japanese. Xanavi said to me a while ago now that they were not interested in the south pacific but what I would like is a DVD that could change it to English even if I can't get a map to work. At least I could read it's features etc. Hope someone can help TNX

I suggest to contact xanavi.ru , they can offer an Eglish menu to your device for -I guess- a little fortune... and blame xanavi for their lame approach and for the lack of AU/NZ map...

Thanks for that 'hell' I went onto their website and in the FAQ section one of the questions was answered with these words.
    >The Japanese system has a user interface in Japanese, which can not by simple manipulation of the menu to change to some other. Other languages simply are not provided.< >Use of such a navigation system without knowing the Japanese language is almost impossible.<
I think this explains all to me....forget about it.
It would be nice if I could just use the screen, that pops up out of the dash but finding the connection under the dash would be a major I think.

Sorry for the long delay in replying but I havn't read this thread for ages. My screen in above the dash under a flap. When you use the remote I have it opens up. Great idea really as it disappears when not in use and stops the car thieves. Still however looks impossible to get any DVD to change it to english. Maybe yopu have found something lately?

If it doesn't open up by itself then maybe the fuse is out?
