Are you referring to 2.3? On Citroen's website, it's already listed in the Bluetooth compatibility check section. But I guess nobody will have access to it until next map update, unless it gets officially uploaded somewhere, or...?

2.8 is meant for cars with another CAN infrastructure and is not a direct update from 2.2.

You are totally off topic. There is no connection between RT6 firmware upgrade and iOS firmware upgrade and iPhone is not the only smartphone that communicates with RT6.
