You're correct. "tot datum" is a bad translation for "up to date" and just means that the latest version is installed. (compared to the maps on the USB stick inserted).
Although I do not speak Dutch this is probably not a "time limit". When you update maps you see a list of all the installed maps. The maps that have already been updated have "up to date" in parenthesis behind them on english versions of RT6. Probably in Dutch the meaning has been lost in translation![]()

I think, I am afraid it's a time limit.
The cards (still) works, but I do not know for how long (1000 km / 1 month)
The photo was taken with a USB stick with an empty "MAPS" directory.
I hope that "tot datum" is a bad translation for "up to date"

Here we go again...
Last update there was a discussion on limited time for maps.
It all was a HOAX!
I aggree, badly translated![]()
I own a Peugeot 508. 2011 Model. I have tried updating with the same updates but nothing happens when the USB is inserted. I tried to start the update manually, its then when it gave me an error msg saying the file damaged. I tried it with 32GB FAT32 USB and 8GB FAT32. Both didn't work. Please guide me on how to install the maps.
If you have a Mac see my post:

Hello I am new to this thread and need a little advise please:
Following: Peu 508, 2011, RT6, current SW v2.07.A.3, 2010/2011 2ed maps on board. All working.
Have downloaded all 2012/2013 map files and SW v2.21 from deposit... I have unpackaged using WinZip 7 no CRC errors. Everything OK.
Have put all map files on 16GB usb as instructed. When inserted the system sees the usb and allows selection of map upgrade. Then it says MEDIA Files Damaged.
Regarding the SW v2.21 I have also followed all instructions, created CD and inserted into system. The system will not accept it.
What have I done wrong? Any advise gratefully accepted.
Thank you
