My friend has Citroen C5 X7 (2009 year) and RNEG (MyWay) navigation. Yesterday we tried to update maps to v. 2015-1. Before we put a new SD card, I have noticed something strange: System doesn’t show info about altitude just shows 3 dashes (“--- m”). New maps are recognized and we can see them. Also, we can set destination where we want to go, but car position marker doesn’t move when car is in motion. Marker is fixed on one place all time. When I try to set navigation instructions’ volume it gives me a sample sentence “Navigation is not active”.
FW is updated from R20… to R50b R50.03. After updating problem still persist.
Does anybody know what kind of problem it could be?
Is there possibility to set navigation in active or inactive status using Lexia or DiagBox?
What is the likelihood that the GPS device is defective?
Try to do the system reboot first ... press SETUP, then press and hold the radio station buttons 1+2+3 for a few seconds, you'll enter the alternate menu, where in the list you can find system reboot ... if it won't help, maybe the GPS antenna cable/connector is bad (no signal) ... it can be either on the roof aerial (corrosion) or the connector on the back of the RNEG ... or, in the worst case scenario, HW problem with the RNEG device itself
I tried to reboot system but the problem still persists.
We were today in local PSA specialized service. They used Lexia. Everything looks fine. There is no any error message about navigation system. Only one info about GPS is displayed: “Visible satellites: 0 of 0”. Vehicle was parked on street with good visibility.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have enough time today to see what’s wrong with navigation, so friend agreed with them to go next week to the service and to see if the problem is in connectors.
I’ll inform you if they find solution for this problem.
