You would be better off upgrading to 2.85/2.86 which is easily available on the site. You will then have the ability to insert UK post codes. It is the latest firmware available. Before you ask, I have a 2011 508 which had the original factory installed version 2.1 or thereabouts, I do not remember precisely, so you can upgrade despite what some say about upgrading to the latest. Despite appearances in the file name the latest is not a beta.
It's the same car and i think the same year, before was 2.07 and i must do update to 2.21 because of installation of new maps. Maps and update goes well but... Noticed problem with mobile phone connection, connection is not always good. Sometimes lost connection. That's why want to try with 2.31 but i think it must do calibration after. I wish to avoid calibration if is possible. Sorry for bad English. Thanks for help.
There isn't a manual for it, but the procedure is simple enough ... download the latest RT6 maps, copy the entire content on a FAT32 USB drive (don't use a Mac if you have it), and you insert the USB drive in the USB port in your car ... if it will be simple, it will just ask you which map block you want to copy (Gemany, Italy, Central Europe ...) and you need about 20 minutes for each map block, engine running to avoid going into economy mode ... if it won't be simple, you'll need to use a key generator or disable map protection before your second attempt (the copy procedure is the same)
