Sorry for dummy questions, but I have old C5 Exclusive 2001 with colour nav system VDO 5.0 Navtec on Board. How should I proceed in order to have latest maps operating? Even RT3 requires C5 above 2003.
Thank you in advance for the help and support.

I find it difficult to understand that you ask a question in a RT3-4-5 topic when you do not have this system installed in the first place
You should have opened a new topic in the PSA section if you are not shure and get answered.
Misplacing topics and questions is annoying and confusing
I will move you question
You have a quite common Siemens VDO system similar to the old MS5000 by VDODayton
You can and should use these maps

Sorry, as I have said I'm new in the field of car nav systems. From my point of view it looks that if I have Citroen it should be something close to RT3. Anyway - nobody is perfect - I'm not for sure.
Thank you for the help & support.
If I have additional questions - I'll ask again and hopefully in the right thread![]()

Hi
Is there a solution for unlock video input VDO Dayton Color in Citroen C5 2003 ?
When car passing 30 km/h video is turned off. Everything would be ok but after passing 30 km/h it`s change to radio or cd. It should stay with audio on and tv off.
Yes there is, but it is ugly.
It consists of a hardware device that cuts of the speedometer signal to the VDO, effectively rendering the navigation during cut off useless (the VDO depends on that signal as its primary means of determining location, together with compass and gyroscope, the gps is used secondary)
I "cut off" two lines of VAN network from the VDO calculator (9004 and 9005 wires). Now video mode is avaible all the time, but of course there is no information about fuel usage etc. But the worst is a fact that radio is totally dead. I can not turn it on so I don`t have any sound from my "audio-video in" mode.
Thank you![]()
