It's not a problem for upgrade with "no official" version. I know i take this upgrade at my own risk.
My question is : Your version is valid for AVIC9 without Touchpanel screen or not ?
however thank you for make this upgrade for us![]()
Some have successfully exchanged the head unit. However, it requires unique cable harnesses AFAIK
Not all attempts are succesfull and please also bear in mind that ther are no official updates for the AVIC 8/9 units
The one you can download here is made by myself!

Hi gazo
At the weekend i tried the modded central disc on my AVIC 800 DVD (with touch screen head unit).
It started to boot and the splash screen with the logo appeared, so i think the burn process and disc (Verbatim) are ok.
But then an error message was shown: "Dies ist die falsche disk" -> means in English: Wrong disc
Do you have an idea why it doesn't work?
Maybe an issue just with the German language?
Thanks
You have not burnt a good copy. Yhe update process is almost always performed but when it comes to reding the nav data you have a problem
It is essential you use a DVD writer from the recommended writers list, Verbatim DL DVD's and Imgburn
It has no relation to the language being German
Pls try again and you will see that it works

I'll burn another copy as you suggested.
But i was able to burn a running version of CNDV-80MT in the past using the same drive (Hitachi-LG HL-DT-ST
GSA-H60N), same tool (Nero) and disc type (Verbatim DVD-R DL) so i think this should be ok for this version as well.
But what i can see a major difference in the DVI.DAT files.
CNDV-80MT: TP APL VERSION [8.000000]
Your modded CNDV-100MT: TP APL VERSION [6.000000]
Can this be the source of the problem, because my AVIC-800DVD was using version 8.0 before?
Thanks
If your present version is 80MT the update should not be a problem
Nero can do unexpected things with a DVD when the format is not NRG. That is why everyone that needs a proper copy is using Imgburn
But please continue making coasters with Nero

I see and i'll burn the next disc using Imgburn as you suggested.
Thanks for your time!
Unfortunalety the modded disc image "CNDV-100MT for AVIC 8/9 Central Europe" still doesn't work on my AVIC-800DVD which was running with CNDV-80MT before. I used Imgburn for the latest try as suggested and the same equipment (PC, Burner, Discs) also used successfully with earlyer versions.
The AVIC boots, shows the logo and then something like "Attention: This is the wrong disc" appears.
Maybe it has really something to do with the firmware version, because the modded discs seem to be based on the firmware used on CNDV-70MT (6.0) and CNDV-80MT used an updated one (8.0) and now the AVIC refuses to go back to an older version. But it's only an idea...
Was somebody successful to upgrade a system which was running 80MT before with the modded 100MT from here?
Dozens of others have successfully downloaded and burned these DVD and are using them
The software is based on the original CNDV-80MT
If you intend to use the 80MT again you must force a downgrade of the unit
Setup-change language
Select any language other than current and confirm
Screen turns black
Immediately press "Eject" and take out the DVD
Insert the old DVD and the system will update the software
