push on your pcm then, push Main and Trip at the same time , you will obtain the OS of the PCM; for the nav dvd, eject it it's written

Hello, I've a problem with one of my friends 997 CS end 2004 with a pcm 2.1 in 3.0, we insert dvd and update cd (note the A to B of course) and the pcm begin update and ask "insert map dvd" .. which is already inserted.. Is it a problem coming from the fact that he is in 3.0 and need almost release 3.3, or is this a pb coming from the fact that the first pcm 2.1 where different ?

the version 3 cant be update to version 3.3 or 4 or 4.1 , the v3.3 and 4 is newest units with different firmware

Thank you SnoopJohn for your help, I'm not sure to have well understood, the problem for my friend concerns a 2.1 PCM (997) which os released is 3.0 (not a PCM 3.0), I've installed the gps update without any problem on my own vehicle (PCM 2.1 in OS released 3.3), but on his PCM that doesn't work (always asking "insert map DVD").
Do you think the problem come from the fact that his 2.1 PCM is on OS 3.0 and he need OS 3.3 or higher, or come from other inputs like the fact that his Porsche 997 is one of the firsts (end 2004 early 2005) (Hardware of the firsts PCM 2.1 different ?) ?

The V3.3 exist in new units and the navigation unit is update with the newest software to. for your friend just update the navigation unit with MY08 multimedia update disk.
