Tutorial needed

Could someone post a simple tutorial with some basic information? for example regarding:
- how to find out what system you have
- how to find out what is your current software
- what are the available updates and what they do

For example I have a 2008 Cayenne S, purchased in the USA and I would need maps for Europe...what would be the steps to take?

I figured out how to get to the SW version screen: press MAIN + TRIP

This is the info that I found there:
On top of the screen it says: SW versions 4.1
PCM: 06324AD1/3206
Navigation system: 00179436/3306

Now what? Do I need any updates and which maps will work for me (Europe maps)?

Hi,
I'm also looking for help, I've just bought a 2005 carrera s, it came with no satnav disc, what I'm looking for is a set of suitable update discs so that I can update to the latest pcm software together with the appropriate satnav disc for the uk.
