I have read all of this thread, but I found a physical difference with CD software OPEL and the CD Ver.PONA642D.

The PONA642D is a year 2000 system CD for the Porsche PCM1 16 bit systems

The update CD that comes with the Opel set is intended for updating Opel, Lancia Lybra, Lancia Thesis, Alfa 166 and Porsche PCM1
All of this was discussed and explained before and I do hope you are beginning to understand why you found differences

Try this:
Put the CD PONA642D on the drive and change the language.
Take off the CD PONA642D and put the CD Navtek 2010/2011 on the drive.

I'm not sure but as the manual said i think you can only choose one of this 5 languages:
German D*******.dat
English Usa U*******.dat
Spanish E*******.dat
French F*******.dat
Italien I*******.DAT

I have a PCM 1 with Software version PCM IDISV3.85 and POIE 609D - i would like to install an update of french map .A friend of mine told me that it was mandatory to update to PONA 642D .
Somebody could help me ?

Hi,
I tried to update the PCM of my 2002 Porsche 996 with french map and got some issues.
First, the update CD seems to work just fine, after 5min, the mesage "initialising system" disapear and I can start navigation on german maps, when I check the PCM version, he give me:

PCM software :
PCM/IDIS V5.44
Navigation software :
Ver.P0NA642D
Database :
eu/18207190

Then, I put the cd with french map, burned with same specification (clonecd/1x speed), after 1 minute of "initialising system", I got "Error with CD, please insert CD" and it restart on "initialising ..." etc ... When I check the PCM version, he give me :

PCM software :
PCM/IDIS V5.44
Navigation software :
----/-----
Database :
----/----

So, could you tell what is wrong in my process ?

I fail to see the reason to post in an Opel topic while the Porsche thread is the one you should select!

Your problem is a poor copy only
Use another writer and or media and you will probably strike gold!
