    Hell,

Thanks for that. I know I aske a lot and you are probably right to say that this does not belong on this forum, but I tried to unrar with " rarzilla ", bud I did not succeed. Program faillure it starts and at 1% it stops. Are there passwords ore other special features I have to know?? Do I have to unrar everything to the same folder?
thanks again and I hope that gazo's opinion is not the correct one :-)

    Re: Infiniti FX35 DVD Europe

You should use winrar as advised throughout this forum
Judging from the question I have serious doubts as to your proficiency to successfully complete the job

In the descrpition included with the upload it is 100% clear what you must do
Nevertheles you ask about a folder and about a password Both questions are completely silly

Oh, and to make things a little less brighter for you: it will not work
The navigation in your US FX35 is an OEM ALPINE unit and the European units are made by XANAVI with completey different software

Please check the file structure on your current US disc. If it also contains 14 folders and one separate file as decribed in the X6.0 topic, you may have a chance

    Hell,

You are probably correct that this forum is not for instructions for downloading etcetera. But I am no wizard in these things and are trying to get things to work. I already tried with RARZILLA to unrar the files, bud it stops after 1% and is the programm stucks and does not react anymore. Do I need passwords ore is that the wrong software to unrar??
And I realy hope that the opinion of gazo is not the correct one :-)

    gazo,

Sorry, I dit not see the second page in time and misted your comment. It is absolutely possible that my questions are sometimes silly. As already daid I am no wizzard with this stuf. Further I am Dutch, so my English is not bad but not my mother language, so sometimes I mis the important details. And for the record, I do not know what you mean with the discription with the upload. Did I mis that??
On mmy current disc for the US there are 12 folders.

    Comment with the upload X7/V31.1
The image file can be burned to a good quality DVD9. DVD-R or DVD+R
It is recommended to use Imgburn. It is important that the Book Type is set to DVD-ROM if you use DVD+R. Either manually or automatic
Nothing about a password because there is none

So you have 12 folders. Which other files on the DVD?
    The hopes are getting slimmer

    Gazo,
This might surprise you( I hope) I just looked on the DVD unit in the infiniti. Is is made in Japan ( where else ) and written on it is "xanavi system". Is that good news?? Although not easy because it is under the passenger seat I could see the whole "sticker" on the unit and nowhere I could see alpine. Concerning the files I think I made a mistake. There are 11 maps and 1 DAT file titled MMain001 . Are hopes now getting slimmer ore better??

    Re: Infiniti FX35 DVD Europe

In that case you could have a X6.0 system, not a X7.0 system
These X6.0 systems were fitted up to 2005

European coverage is very limited and no extension is foreseen or planned

    Gazo,

At least that is what the DVD says, X6.0 is printed on the DVD. Further it says 25920-CR94A, possible that is the firmware/software of the system. So what I probably will have to do is update the firmware/software to 25920-BA00C and make a new X6.0 navigation DVD.

There all also examples of different suppliers of the hardware. Xanavi will be the supplier for European units whereas Alpine might serve the US Market.
Some brands of navigation can be reprogrammed with the aid of some hobbyists but never officially
judging from the map with the x6.0 label he has a xanavi unit, do not scare him away
