    Question vdo-dayton clarification

one question, if i may, please.
i own a renault scenic with a carminat informee (color) navigation.

i / we use dayton's CDs, latest are version 2009/10.
now, i was wondering in the past and still cannot find out; is carminat just dayton compatible or is indeed this a dayton's system?

and which dayton should i check for future releases.
i hope i wrote this clearly.

    thanks

Your Carminat system is a Siemens VDO product and is based on the same concept as the VDODayton equipment
