    Re: Question Carminat Navigation Informée

If I understand correctly. There are 7 different types of RENAULT navigations:

    Monocrome SH1
    Monocrome SH3
    CNI 1
    CNI 2
    DVD Bluetooth
Trafic Pro Becker - Car radio with Monocrome
    CNC

    Is that correct?

    Re: Question Carminat Navigation Informée

    Not correct

The Trafic Pro Becker - Car radio with Monocrome was never fitted
SH1 and SH3 are the OEM versions of the Traffic Pro Low Speed and the Indianapolis

CNC is the DVD system made by Xanavi-Zenrin

The CNI1 has a younger sister called CN-CB

The last version Carminat is called TomTom Carminat or Tominat

OK, there is a CNI1 and CN-CB which are not compatible CN-CB is newer.
    CNI 2
    DVD version
    and TomTom ( Tominat)

TPB was never used ( not even in Twingo 2000-2006 )
and ??? Monocromatic is not upgradeble

    Re: Question Carminat Navigation Informe

well there was a navigation-radio fitted at least into twingo models. dialogys says it is a level1 nav system (NiNav1= niveau de navigation) but 'levels' do not obviously reflect the quality or advanceness of a given system

in dialogys for different models one can find the following levels (usually) matched with these systems:

level1 is this radio-nav, mono, no separate display, i never seen it but it might be Becker traffic pro according to navteq HERE
level2 is SH1/SH3 monochrome, pictogram only nav WITH separate display
    level3 is the CNI1 generation (nav4, nav5, nav6)
    level4 is the CNC system
    level5 is the CNI2 system
    level6 is the CBCD system
    NAVI_G1 is the TomTom system

the attached pic shows the level1 radio-nav in a twingo

    Re: Question Carminat Navigation Informe

The Twingo is the only exeception
It is indeed fitted with an OEM version of the Traffic Pro Low Speed
This concerns the types 4708 and 4740
These are custom made for Twing, must be fitted with an angle of about 80 degr. Fitted with grey bezel. Display and keys are green illuminated.

Software is the regular Traffic Pro Low Speed. Final version 10.0

If purchased from Renault/Navteq: Euro 249
    If purchased from Becker/Navteq : Euro 149
