    How do I identify my system?

    Hi All,

    I have a Nissan Navara with the Factory fitted Navigation system. It's 2006 model.

    I've downloaded the 2009/2010 maps but I've seen on here there is a 2011 map available. How do I find out what version my system is to confirm it will take the latest map?

    The x 6. DVD has 11 folders, the X 7.0 has 16 folders

    The new 2011 editions are as yet available only at the usual distribution points, not on this forum

    Gazo Id be interested on any advice\views you have about some of the older Xanavi dvds, I have a skyline v35 2003 which Ive converted to English menus via Xanavi.ru, the structure of the satnavdisk is of that below;

    The original disc that came with the car;

    Ive checked my firmware version and appear to be up to date, running nissan splash screen etc.

    Im in the process of downloading this however since I am based in the UK it is of no use and will just be a testing\investigitive exercise

    Any thoughts you have on the matter would be greatly appreciated before I rip the stock navi out.

    Thanks and keep up the good work

    Re: Carminat Navigation Communication - Europe V31.1

    Hi everybody,

    My name is Jorge and I'm from Portugal.
    Since I tried to update my gps I had difficulties. My car is a German megane from 2009 and I think doesn´t read DVDs, it will be possible? Last year I had to download the multi pack cd version because i had a read error every time I tried a DVD version. This year I think the cd version doesn't exist so I tried with diferent burners and media (DVD-DL and DVD+DL Verbatim) but the information is every the same. Also the update cd doesn't work too. Whats your opinion?
    Thank you all.

    If you are unable to see whether your system is a DVD or CD version, I think you have nothing to look for on this forum
    The difference is so obvious that any child would be able to see it. First of all because of the DVD or CD logo on the player and secondly by the size of the display!

    Find yourself a proper DVD writer first instead of trying to put the blame on the system software
    The problem is always the user, not the system

    Thanks gazoo but doesn't seem so simple to check if my system can play DVDs or not. I leave attached 2 photos to see if anyone can help me.
