Saab 9-3 Denso Navigation 2009 DVD Eastern and Western Europe

Hi, iam new on the forum i got a Saab 9-3 with AISIN Navigation 2009-2010 and a delphi radio with DVD Eastern and Western Europe
I am in identical situation as Big Dave
I have download the last file "Denso Navigation 2009-2010 DVD Eastern and Western Europe " copy to a VERBATIM DL DISC with Imgburn select for DVDrom but the result was "NOT A NAVIGATION DISC"
It really seems to be something I must be doing wrong in the burning process... as a test i made an image of my original Saab disc using image burn, and then burned with Imag burn a new disc from that image, and again i get the error message 'not a navigation disc' when i put it in the car..Compared with original disc i found 2 diferences
1- LAYER Break original 8191,6368 copy 3.05
2- Track path original PTP and copy OTP
Did someone copy with sucess this nav disc ?

I have the same situation, I've tried to copy, make an image of the original disc and still have the message "not a navi dvd". The same when i make a disc from files above.

To put it quite frankly:
If cannot even describe the problem and the actions you've taken, it's no wonder you also cannot burn a proper copy

I have question - you wrote that it will work on 2005-2008 units.
I ave 2010 9-3.
it runs oryginal western disc, same as on pictures you provide.
However, none of three images downloaded from your posts works.
Same burnt dvd's are working OK in my brother's 2007 9-3 which seems to have same navigation.
Are you any idea what may be the reason?
Is it possible that in new cars SAAB introduced some kind of copy-protection into the unit?

I am not aware of anything that SAAB might have introduced
But I never claimed it would work in a 2010

you did not claim it will work in 2010, and my question is why, since it seems that navi unit has not changed since 2007?

I could not tell you but the dealer system claims that these dvd's can only be used in the said systems and not later!
Anyway you are the one that can substantiate this statement.
It does not work on your car

Also. I find it very strange that you would use 2009 DVD's in a 2010 car. Where are the orginals?

oryginal DVD supplied with car was 2009.
the copy of this DVD does not work in my car, but works in 2007.

What dealer says is obviously not true, dvd's cannot work in cars before MY2007 since navi system was SDAL back then.

And... This isn't DENSO... This is pure AISIN. Any DENSO-based maps must be not compatible with this system...

Wrong
SDAL systems were fitted until 2005 when they were replaced by the Denso units
And since you have proven to be such a good reader: It's not the dealer but the dealer's information system
