iGo is the easiest to get to run on China sat navs - have setup 3 until now, they work like a charm

TOMTOM works very well in Portugal.

Also CoPilot on the phones and NavTec on the Car are good here, although the NavTec guys didn't yet found the street I live for 7 years now ;-(

The Maps and the navigation software are two distinctly different entities. Many Nav apps (ie IGO) can use either Navteq or TeleAtlas maps.

With regard to your street you can report the map deficiency to Navteq at NAVTEQ Map Reporter.

I like tom tom still use a screen mounted one even though i have car pc. wish i could run it on my pc but i have in the car but have not got a clue if could be done and how to do it

You can't say which system is better because it all depends which country it is used in. The best system for Thailand is without a doubt Garmin and the native Thai ESRI TSM map. The latest Garmin South East Asia map is much improved and is now pretty good. Not much choice here other than a Garmin system.

The GPS software doesn't vary by country, the maps do.

I can just say that I use TomTom Android Systems, and Sygic Android Systems
tomtom europa v.1.1.1 and those maps work better with better performance in the north of Europa.
Sygic v.12 are also a' very good systems thats also comes with tomtom maps.
So thats I want to say are that tomtom maps have a' better coverage in nearly all west/north Europa

Not to forget iGO systems that work proper, but have to come with bigger screen resolutions to match the new Android phones like Samsung Galaxy S3 and other with that screen resolutions.

Thats my opinion in this moment

I have fitted a number of these type of ican units for people plus my own vehicle and find you cant beat puting igo8 on it

got to second that, i was recomended to use this by scorpio pirate and it works a treat.

the only thing wrong is that you cant put in a postcode, town then street.

but still the best out there so far.

tell a lie, you can enter a postcode.
just press town and it will let you enter it there.
pity it was sort of hidden and not an outright opption.
