Hi Airion
In the event that I am unable to get my device id what am i supposed to do. Mine is Chinese GPS unit as well. When i installed it on the fone the sygic software worked perfectly. But on the chinese in dash unit, after i choose to activate it manually, i guess its supposed to display the device id, but all it shows is a - on the next screen. when i click continue it asks for the activation code..

So how am i supposed to retrieve my device id for the the keygen to work correctly?

Did you manage to get the device id? I have a similar unit and the same problem. There is a device id under "settings-system info" which goes something like 47ce-xxxx etc. tried using this id in the keygen but the activation is not being accepted. I wonder if someone can find out how to find the device id.

edit the file settings.ini in the folder drive and the line you find deviceimei.*** should be made "device" only as aganist deviceimei.
try to activate maps now, and you should get the device id from the chinese gps which otherwise would have been blank.

The entry in the settings.ini file says "device=ppc\deviceimei.dll. Should I change this to "device=ppc\device.dll" or "device=ppc\device"?

Guys, i got a chinese DVD player with winCE5.0 Please let me know which version of Sygic needs to be installed and the maps version.??? i am from India. Looking at 100's of threads, i am going crazy. please help me out...

Thanks for the links. I downloaded it. However it has extension of 001 and 002. i tried renaming to ZIP. when trying to extract, it says its corrupt. i am missing something here. please help me out.
