[moved] Cannot get Tom Tom one XL to recognize new map

    Tom Tom one XL (v9)
    Serial Number RH****B*****
    Boot Loader 55019
    Navcore 8.014
    USA_and_Canada 725.1914
How do I get my new map to work?

I am upgrading to new map USA_and_Canada 854.2666
I have followed Alberts guide. I created the .DCT map file and patched the PDNavigator file.
Do I need to erase ALL of the folders and files on my Tom Tom before I put the new files on?
I tryed puting the three new map files on my tom tom by overwriting the old ones. I also replaced the PDNavigator with
    the newly patched one.
I keep getting the message that no maps are found. Thanks for any help you can give me.

OK. I still am having no luck with this. Does anyone know what EXACTLY has to be deleted from the TOM TOM hard drive before I add new maps. The tutorials say to format the hard drive but I just don't think that should be done. Do I just erase the map folder?

Have you backed up your tomtom first? If so then delete the USA_and_Canada 725.1914 folder from your Tomtom then copy the USA_and_Canada 854.2666 but make sure it you remove the numbers after it.It should look like this (USA_and_Canada ).
Now use Albert`s easy activator to activate the maps I find its the easiest to use.

Now we dont know what did you do ... So format tt, install navcore (if you want original, do it via TTHome), install maps, patch navcore, patch maps - done, have beer

Re: Cannot get Tom Tom one XL to recognize new map

    Installing downloaded maps to tomtom

Ive been struggling to do this over the last couple of days, but got mine working. this is how ive

done it. Im guessing that each model is different.

Back up your tomtom via `home` or winrar, google this if your not sure..

GOTO `latest Keygen folder` download from
    Code:
    http://hotfile.com/dl/44787612/6beb0eb/latest_Keygen_19-02-2010.rar.html
MAke sure that Device ID has the tomtoms unique code (xxxxxxxx) you find this in options

status/version information, i think you get this screen different ways with different models. opens

up with notepad or similar, then type in your code

`YOURMAP` is the map youve downloaded, they generally come with a meta text that is a description of

    map and lots of numbers.

    1. Copy YOURMAP.meta & YOURMAP.pna to folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here" in the same folder, copy the

meta text (including semi colon) into `only_for_runmedfordct` this opens with notepad or similar

    2. Copy YOURMAP .Meta to folder "Progs"

    3. Make sure your unique device code is in DEVICEID

    4. Run RunMeforDTC.cmd and chose 1 enter and 1 enter and your done. If you see your deviceID, then

    it's sucsess...

    5. Copy YOURMAP.meta & YOURMAP.pna & YOURMAP.dtc from "insert_meta_from_Map_here" to a copy of the

MAP folder you downloaded that had all the YOURMAP files then overwrite existing files. Then it on

root of your SSD card via `my computer` (obvouisly tomtom should be connected with ssd card in

    place.....lol)

    6. Run RunMeforAllAutomatic and go through stages 2 & 3

    7. TomTom will detect map when starting TT device
I know that the clever people out there probably do this a different way, but this works for me I

    hope this helps you
