    Info Clone Maps:
ll these maps are clones. This means that the maps are identical in size and internal contents.
The difference between them is only a difference name of two files: a meta; PNA; (is new know, and only from v.875)
So if you have one map, you have absolutely no need other maps cloned group.

If for some reason you need multiple maps from the cloned group then you do not need to download all maps, but only 1 map clones within that clone-block.

    For example:
-You have a map WCE_875_3613. But you want to get a map Europe_875_3613
-You do not need to download ~2.5GB again.
    1. You can only copy the "meta & pna" - file from WCE_875_3613 in a new folder
    2. rename those in "Europe-386.meta & Europe.pna"
    3. open the "Europe.pna", rename "ID=Western_and_Central_Europe.pna" in "ID=Europe.pna"
    4. save
    5. rename the blowfish from WCE_875_3613 at the end (from Western_and_Central_Europe-386.meta => Europe-386.meta), save
    6. activate now the alt WCE_875_3613 with the new make files in Europe_875_3613

This way you can from one (any map clone) to get all the maps of the group.

(if someone of the mods/admins can it better say, please edit this Tut, thx)

I checked our usual so called clone maps, and unfortunately for 885 maps, no clones.

File size are identical, but there are byte to byte differences for many of them.

Only a few bytes differences in each one, but enough to not guarantee thet are exchangeables.

Other point, which map have the 885.4085 suffix ?

re: Compatibility Chart For v885 Maps & Navcores by tweety

Clones were registered by me without obligation because I'm currently sick and still could not load maps for comparison. These can vary even more so!

Likewise, the column of mine Nav 9.8x not yet included but will be the next update.

Wich Map 4085 gives, I know not yet, because I had not yet acquired by the data ingazu.

Time will definitely bring us to success, so just wait and see what will yet prove to be in the next few days, right or wrong ...

    Edit:

    Update is online:

    1. Map 4085 deleted
    2. Nav 11 added in NavChart
    3. Nav 9.8 added in MapChart

Re: Compatibility Chart For v885 Maps & Navcores by tweety

hi guys, I am looking for a help.
    I can't understand "Map Thread Finder by ttmax: v.870 v.875 v.880 v.885"
I have Navigator 9.430 installed, was trying to use USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P-477, whose full name is "USA.Canada.and.Mexico.P.880.3862"
showing can't use this map on my device.

Could any one tell me which latest map is good for my Navcore?
    Thank a bunch

Re: Compatibility Chart For v885 Maps & Navcores by tweety

    Thanks so much for reply.
I would download the map you said to try again for sure.
I was try to follow the instruction said in "TUTORIAL: Clean Install - How to install the latest map and navcore from scratch!"
the problem was the step 6, when I restart the GPS, after setting the language and time zone, a map had to choose. There was no map at that point at all. I ignored it.
continue to follow the instruction. whenever I run the GPS on itself, it kept saying "no map"

Could anyone tell how to dissove it? Thanks in advance.

anyways, I will try "7 simple steps "

Is that true? it doesn't say in the "clean install" post. I will try that for a new map, the USA.Canada.and.Mexico.P.880.3862 looked like not working with navcore 9.430.
BTW, this navcore 9.430 should be the latest one, right? Thanks

From the clean install Tutorial: TUTORIAL: Clean Install - How to install the latest map and navcore from scratch!

step 6) is needed only to create the new ttgo.bif file.

step 13) Extract the map, and copy across the new map folder into the root of the device. Make sure when you open the map folder it only contains the map files, not another folder within a folder.

is where you install the map before activating it.

Navcore 9.430 is the latest... or recent enough in any case.

Re: Compatibility Chart For v885 Maps & Navcores by tweety

What do you mean by "only to create the new file"? so I don't have to set language, time zone...and map? just start it?
Yes, That's exactly what I dii. I extracted the map file, which is around 22 files in the folder(1.5G in tatal).

another confusing thing for me is that I found a folder named "maps" in my backup. but I didn't see the "maps" folder in current one. is it a problem?

    Thankyou lemonfish
