tomtom power socket broke - which pins do what

    hi guys,

my cousin has given me his tomtom to fix as it fell off the windscreen and snapped the mini usb port off inside.

ive taken it apart and apart from one track that has been lifted, all the other pins should be easy to resolder back on. what i need to now is what pins do what as i need to know whic pins power the unit, which pin charges the battery and which pins are used for updating the tomtom

your help would be much appreciated

thanx mate, so according to that diagram, as long as i have pins 1 and 5 connected, tomtom should power up an charge the battery, correct??

right guys, i was just about to resolder this back to the board but ive now found out that its the number 5 track that has lifted so i have nothing to solder to. I can seem to trace the track back so i can solder to another point.

as the number 5 track is a ground, is there anywhere else i can solder it to so it works

    many thanx in advance

Now you're gonna have to completly remove the MOBO from the case. [not a biggy]

Solder #5 on opposite side of the lifted point....or, find the trace the pad was connected to.
[it makes no difference where you solder the ground to,as long as you're certain it's the proper trace. Don't forget to flux]
