    Post Tomtom Go 530 8.351

Have a Tomtom Go 530 with version 8.351 and was wondering what navcore could I put on it ? like the navcore 9 ?
My internal memory doesn't work anymore so i'm using an sd card, does this make a difference?

And what are the main benefits of using say a new navcore9 , does it have a lot of differences compared to that of the standard version?

    Thanks if you can help

8.351 really is a fine navcore and it supports all functions for your device. If you keep it and patch it to use with downloaded maps you are sure to have a rocksolid device.
It came with bootloader 5.5120 so you can use SDHC cards of 16 GB and more if you like so the loss of the internal memory is not really an issue.

You can try navcore SE 9.051 which has the improved/antialiased graphics which in my opinion look great. I run it on my 920TMC and even TMC works normally. SE 9.101 I have no experience with.
An added functionality is "Eco-routes" for the most economical route.

cspeech and ASR refer to the same thing: Automatic speech recognition or voice operation.

I have a 920TMC and I have found the following on SE 9.051 with WCE 845.2645:

EPT: not tested, I do not live in an area with a lot of tunnels (The "Dutch mountains" is a bit of irony on my behalf).
    IQ Routes: Works.
ASR: works, but results can be "surprising". This goes for the original navcore too so I attribute it to the microphone quality.
ALG: Works. Both arrows and images.
TMC: Works. I get the bar, it gives me traffic info and options for faster routes in case of queues.
Auto day/night switching: I don't need it so I haven't tested it. I run x40 mode for the icons and I have day/night switching in the button on the main screen together with quick access to map error indication, Postal code navigation.
Ecoroute: is available. However I would like to know the algorithm for eco route calculation. My Prius is more frugal on B-roads than on the motorway/ highway.
    LoquendoTTS: works.

Download original 8.351 for x20, 530/730/930 and 630 (still to be patched by ydGPatch or Easyusetools):
    Code:

    I've download a 8.351 Cab from the TT (8.351.go530-go730-go930.CAB-navcore-GO - ). I have already the patcher Easyusetools.
    Do I need something more?

PS. in the file .cab there are no TTsystem files or any basicpack.

    thanks.

TTsystem is there. It is 8.124.157 bytes.

You do not need anything else, maybe the local language for LoquendoTTS. You can get that with TTHome > Update or > add traffic info, voices etc etc.
