Alter tolerance of over speed alert

Hi, I am looking for a way of reducing the tolerance at which the over speed alert warns drivers that they have exceeded the posted speed limit for the area in which they are driving. At the moment, the TomTom will not advise that the vehicle has exceeded the posted speed limit until the vehicle has travelled at more than 5km/h over the limit for several hundred metres. By then, the policeman has already issued the speeding fine. I have found the TomTom to be very accurate at advising of the correct speed being travelled and its map data has all the speed limits correctly assigned. I just need the tollerance of 5km/h to be lowered to zero so the TomTom warns me the moment I exceed the limit. Alternatively, is there another brand of GPS that can do this for me?

Nice feature (if one can find how to)
Set the speed to 5 less than legal limit?
    Gets the job done.
