Yes, TT Home2 will search for updates every time you plug in your SD card or device. Just enable MapShare first to receive the updates.

...and DON'T install the update for "TomTom Application", since that will nullify your work, installing an unpatched navcore over your recently patched navcore.

(Or install it and patch that navcore again, but do so only after a good full backup of all files using Windows Explorer/ZIP).

...and you should also think twice about logging on under your account name if you're using a "free download map" and when it ask's if it's ok to share data with tomtom anonymously, tell it to get stuffed (that's NO to non english speakers) !

All I updated was the map share like the corrections that peeps make and you can update to fix them on your map as well. Is that a bad thing to do? Map that i loaded is still on so didnt nullify the work I didnt. Thanks again will wait for your replies.

MapShare just makes minor corrections/updates to your map from time to time. It doesn't drastically change your map, so don't worry, it's all good. You have nothing to worry about.

Ok right on thanks. Thats all I have updated on it since I did this a couple days ago. Once again thanks all that helped out and answered my newbie questions and pointed me in the right direction. This is truly a great site.
