Tomtom automatic power on when external power is detected?

Uniden and NAvman GPSs have this capability, has anyone figured it out for a Tomtom?

Re: Tomtom automatic power on when external power is detected?

I have a GO910 with the 9.101 SE navcore installed and I find that when it is powered down and I dock it in the desktop cradle (which has the ac adapter on) it starts up spontaneously with a hard reboot. If it is in the car cradle powered down and I turn the car ignition on, providing external power it does the same thing - starts up from a hard reboot. It does it consistently. Is this a feature of the SE navcores? It did the same thing with 9.026. Apart from the hard reset factor, which takes a while, it is great...The firmware in this 910 is slightly broken. It doesn't play the Tomtoms during a hard reboot any more so there could be some fault which has given this behaviour. Ideas anyone?
