I have looked everywhere and cant find an answer, PLEASE help.

Hi i am trying to find out if it is possible to pick up HD Traffic on a go720 device. I have 9.101 installed and running the 850 maps. i see IQ routes work but want to know if it is possible to get the HD Traffic working (ie, does it need specific hardware or is it a software app that uses the GPS signal?) If it is software can i patch it to work for free for a year (to test) or must i buy it from the start... Any answers will be much appreciated! thanks

For HDTraffic you need more than GPS: You also need a modem and a SIM card. Both have been offered by Tomtom in a cable which both charges the unit and has a modem/SIM built into the plug, but I am not sure if this service is still being offered by Tomtom now that they have LIVE services on the newer models.
Here is a link which is two years old:
    Code:

If you can obtain this plug in your country AND if HDTraffic is being offered there, you might have success with it. Otherwise, stick with TMC as an alternative.
