What to do if your navigation device gets stuck after you switch it on OR the TomTom application is not installed or cannot be found OR your device only shows the start-up image or a flashing cross.
To solve this, reinstall the application. Follow the steps below.
1. Reset your device.
2. Connect your device to your computer.
Then turn on your device by pressing the power button for 5 seconds. TomTom HOME starts.
2.1. In HOME, click Manage my navigation device.
2.2. Select the Items on device tab and tick the box by Applications. Then click Remove items from device.
2.3. A warning will pop-up, click OK.
2.4. Select the Items on computer tab and tick the box by Applications.
Then click Remove items from computer.
A warning will pop-up, click OK.
3. Reinstall the application by clicking Update my device.
3.1. Click Update my device.
3.2. Make sure the new application is selected, then click Update and install.
3.3. Click Device -> Disconnect Device.
Your device boots and then connects to the computer again.
Note: For some devices you may have to repeat these steps.
4. Run the TomTom Clear Flash tool
Note: This tool can not be used with TomTom ECLIPSE, DAIHATSU or TOYOTA.
5. Safely disconnect your device.
