I have no clue but it seems that when I am plugged on to the usb power it is showing the battery as full, and the moment when I unplug it the battery bar goes down by half and 10 seconds or so dies and turns the unit off.
I have changed the unit's original battery about 5-7 months ago, as the original battery refuse to even charge.
I am now puzzled whether is my battery dead again (could be a bad battery) or is it my Navcore that I have been mucking around has caused this issue.
Any suggestions? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy another battery and see how it goes?
Yes I did, I am charging from the dock. Is that the moment I remove it, it take a few seconds and I see the battery bar go straight down and out.
I think I be willing to try changing the battery again, not a big issue since it works when I am using with the car charger turned on. But sometime I would like to plan before I connect to the car and the unit just dies once is not plugged in. When plugged in, it reads fully charged sometimes.
As it does not create a big issue when I plug in the usb, I am leaving it as it is for now. A new Go 730 sells for under $150 easily. I love the unit till date, didnt had much issues. I had used the new battery till flat before so I do not know whther this could be one of the reasons.
I may just run on another Navcore to see if this issue still exist.
does it show "charging" under the battery symbol when its plugged in? charge it fully then try and see how long the battery lasts, if you get the same problem change the battery but make sure you get a good quality one, some of the cheap chinese junk on fleabay have only half the capacity of the original and more importantly only have a 28 day warranty.
