Thanks to members, I finally managed to put some maps on my 910. I downloaded the UK & Ireland 875.3671.
I then went through the tutorial by lemonfish (twice!) and used the fast activate.
I get the same problem as before. When I try and use the TT (either on my laptop or untethered) it just reports "No Maps Found".
I'm obviously doing something wrong but have followed the instructions... what am I missing?
Help appreciated greatly
This is getting me rabid!
I formatted my tt 910 and then updated it via home.
Then I downloaded the UK maps (875.3671)
I then downloaded and installed fastactivate and autoactivate.
Tried to load it and it came up with 'No Maps Found'
Followed Biggerdave's advice and downloaded the right navcore and copied that on to the 910.
Then the infernal thing wouldn't switch off! Had to hard reset it and it still says 'no maps found'
I've now formatted it again..... this is driving me mad! I was a gibbering fool before, NOW.... well....
I've just been reading through the tutorials and faqs and downloaded TTcurrentconfig....
Here is the read out from it (in the hope someone can tell me whats going wrong!)
DeviceName=TomTom GO 910
Been at this for over 24 hours now! HELP HELP HELP
you'll need to find meta keys for your specific map and then use easy tool to generate and activate the keys before it can read your map. I find that the fastactivate.exe don't have meta keys for the new maps, but that's just me some1 else may say different. I just google meta keys for my USA_and_Canada map and create this method found at this link here MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service. It worked for me when I've tried many methods post here before fail on me. Good luck!
Dave thanks for the help. FINALLY got it up and working (miracles never cease or, eventually I understand!) but its absolutely terrible in terms of postcode search as it won't let me do more than a limited search. Now I understand the matching of the map to the navcore, can I please ask (I am a total pain!) what is the highest ROCK solid stable navcore I can take it up to from 7.9? I did try a higher one before and it froze on a boot screen of (what looked like) a New York traffic jam! Am guessing that one wasnt compatible.
Cheers for your help again mate!
