I have my step-fathers TomTom 730 and the touchscreen is quite a bit off. It started a few weeks back where pressing the top row in the keyboard was a chore but everything else was perfect. Obviously I couldn't fix it, and told him to just deal with it, its obviously nothing I could fix.
HOWEVER today he brings it back and its just destroyed! The screen while registering touches does not register anywhere near where pressed, and its to the point where I can touch the very top of the screen and it registers the bottom row of icons in the main menu, so the device is essentially useless.
I tried updating the Navcore (8.35 to 8.351) and have tried restoring from a clean back-up, and tried reseting to factory on the device (since that is an option on the bottom row of icons ).
Is there anything anyone else can suggest? I would assume apart from replacing the panel/touch thingy, its probably as good as dead, right?
If anyone has anything helpful to try that'd be great.
