Why is such a big difference between map for
TT 1000andEurope Single Map(v8.80) 3016.5 MB
TT 950? Is in the mpa for 1000 more POI or more detailed or what ?Europe - Single Map(v8.80) 2362.9 MB
Yes I look into TomTom shop and I couldnt find any difference regarding coverage. I just find out that there is difference in size for tt1000 is 3016.5 MB and for tt 950 is 2362.9 MB
remember that TT1000 uses navcore 10 , > linux system > the mysterious .ttpkg files that are used by Home3
Home2 uses .zip

But you can hardly explain 700MB difference just by using different file system/packer . . .
That is true. Consider that these are the official 3.2 file ...
you'll find several files inside - looks likeEurope Single Map(v8.80) 3016.5 MB
these 3 files takes about 700MB in size. Probably they content information for much faster route planning by 1000 prior 950arp_0_300_10_10_f.dat
yes, this makes sense.
is there a way, how to transfer the data to the device?
..maybe it would be possible to try these maps on CARMINAT-9844 (it seems navcore itself is much close to nc10), but... Nobody managed to extract *.dct from 1000/VIA - so we can have a lot of maps for nc10 at the moment, but not any meta.txt key for any.... And no magic works without it - I wasn't able to launch nc10 map on TTGo720 in several "vivisection" combinations...
Yeah i agree with you buddies...
