I have an old TT GO500 with the following specs:
OS: 515773 (3013, 6-4-2010)
MAP: Western and central europe 2GB 875.3615
I'm currently using a CarPC but there arn't any good navigator arround for the PC.
I want to use my old TT with TT Home trough the computer.
I allready de-soldered the TT's internal speaker and hooked up an 3,5mm jack (works like a charm trough mic. input on pc!)
But when I start TT home, the screen gets stuck at "this map is nog valid for this version, select other map" (or something like that)
How can I get my TT running trough TT Home WITH the benefit of new maps and software?
Hope this is clear, my English won't get any better then this :P
as it has SIRF-II chip - external antenna - is good solution (several years earlier I has such stand-alone GPS-receiver - it used to make me mad when fixing satellites, till I bought external antenna for it - every worked smooth from that time on)
I was a little premature: it works but GPS stays in DEMO mode
is there a trick to run TT on my windows 7 computer at all?
if you are trying to launch TT-emulator on win-machine and hope to receive GPS-data from transmitter - beat it - nobody managed to so...
There were another method (tried it about 5 years ago, but it is not popular at all) - just launch Win-mobile-5/Win-mobile-6 emulator, install TT-7910 (for win-mobile) on it, connect COM-port GPS-receiver (o BT-GPS-receiver), and thus you'll have crappy win-mobile TTNavigator.exe - but it won't make you happy...
