Is it possible to MERGE Favourite from many mapsettings.cfg files??

In the past, while using different maps, I kept recording Favourites, thinking that they were map independent and that somehow that info would be retained through map upgrades.

As a result, I now have a few mapsettings.cfg files, that I would like to MERGE in one, which then, per the instructions posted elsewhere in this forum, I shall preserve and update.

Is that possible please? And if yes, how?

    Many thanks,

    GYFTOS

I'm not aware of any tool doing this.

No tool for merging Favorites known. So the only way I see - convert all Favorites to POI and then merge them. After this - you can convert POI back to favorites

I keep mine, and add to/edit them, in a POI I call "Favourites"; saves any hassle when the format of "mapsettins.cfg" is changed by TT.

Could you please tell us how do you convert / import quickly POI's favourites to TomTom favorites (.cfg) format??

I did already but it seems those tools are not able to work with the mapsettings.cfg file only with .ov2 (POI's). Am I wrong?

No you're right, but some are helpfull for converting.
I discovered the same problems, but as already written there if I want my favourites back, I do it manual
