Hello, here is my problem.
my old go 630 that i upgraded using this forum took a crap.
I did have it backed up on pc.
Now i got the go 730 , well i copied everthing over and got the unit to work but
the I had to use the map it came with.
I maid a stock backup of the go 730 and put that back on and still no voice input, but it was there when i bought it
and it should be backed up.

So my question is, what the folder or way to get my voice input back up and working.
and if its because of my map.

It says app 8.351 os: 315187
gps v1.20 boot: 5.5274
Map: north amerixca 2gb v 810.1907

Is there a navicor and newer map i could use. Ive tryied downloading newer maps and the unit always says i can not use this map on this unit.
I used fastactivator, but the meta never worked (step one) 2,3,4 steps did however patch the navicor and the others things also worked in fastactivator
just not the meta, is this maybe my problem.
Its saying it cant' connect to the service.

Anyway, i've been working on it for 3 days now since it takes me a full day to get one map.
Please let me know if there is a newer map and navicor that will work on the go 730.
With the voice input working.
Now my voice input is greyed out and can't select it.

I would stay with your current "official" navcore 8.351.
For the map I recommend 880-3810

As to your greyed out voices a couple of questions.
1. Are you running off the SD card and are the voices on that card?
2. Are you trying to run with both Lequendo and Vocalizer voices on your device (this will give problems if you are)?
3. Is the problem associated with bot standard and computer voices?
If you are having problems connecting to the server, just try again later, this sometimes happens when the links are not available.
YOU MUST UPDATE THE META FILE to get FastActivate to operate correctly on maps/ speedcams voices etc.

Ok thank you , and yes i tried installing the the 880-3810 map and it didnt work.
BUT like i said the fastactivator didn't work on the first step.
I will try again and post back.

1. As far as the sd card , i do have one in but i installed everything to internal memory.
2. how can i find out if im running lequendo and vocalizer voices on my device? The device talks to me , i just cant' input addresses with my voice. ( no voice recognition.)
3. I have it set to linda I think computer voice. She does talk to me. Like i said the voice input from me is greyed out.
Is there a way to update meta file manually . I have the file and i placed it on the sd card root directory. Maybe somewhere else it might go?

The device will always default to the SD card on start up.
Have you tried running without the SD card plugged in?
FastActivate should be in the same location as the files you are trying to update (on the SD card for files on the SD card and in internal memory for files held in the device).
I don't understand why FastActivate will not update the META file but I can give you a link to the latest META if you require it. Without the latest META FastActivate will not operate correctly on the latest maps/voices etc.

thanks for fast response im coping over the 880 map as i type this it has 3 minutes left.
i will then run the fastactivator which is on root of internal memory with all other data.
post back in a few minutes.

ok got the map on there but fast activator says this when i click update meta.txt file.

Error: could not get file time on server. Check your internet conection. Intergrated meta.txt enabled.

but when i click on maps/voices speed cams i get

meta.txt saved to F:\meta.txt
however there is nothing next to fuel prices:

ok but where do i put it? I have a text file folder on the internal memory root. it has alot of meta files in it including the 880 map meta.
Do i need to put it somewhere else?

Put the file in the root directory alongside FastActivate.
