Maybe you put the map inside another folder. I mean nested.

My device is a Go720 , navcore 9.430 afterupdating with tomtom home.
Using map Scandinavia_890_4222 , unzipped and put into map Scandinavia and then FastActivate from left to right 3 buttons, all says it seems ok.

When starting the device it says i cant use the map with the device and is stuck there.

Thought i have done all requiered tricks to make it works?
    Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!
Make sure you use the latest version of FastActivate Premium from the FastActivate thread:
    FastActivate

Confirm a .dct file has been created in the map folder. If so, delete it and try again with the latest FastActivate version.

Re: You cannot use this map...

My boss gave me and my mate old Go300 and Go700 tomtoms. I've loaded 9.151 and UK and Ireland 890.4222 maps on both. Go700 is up and running without any issues, but Go300 keeps telling me I cannot use this map. Are there any other restrictions as to which map I can use on which device?
I've had a similar situation with Go530 and Go520 in which case 530 accepted a map without issues and 520 just wouldn't have it.

Re: You cannot use this map...

Hello, I am new to this but not a noob in the IT world.
By accident i did not run the FastActivate.exe after i put a new map on my tomtom. I used to have Europe 2G, so i put the US 2G. Now it keeps saying that i need to select a map, but of course the map will not work on the device since i did not run the FastActivate i am guessing first. The main issue now is when i connect the tomtom back to my computer with the USB cable, it does not recognize anything is happening.

I first hear that beep sound from my computer to let you know a device has been connected, on the Tomtom i see that little logo that shows that the hard drive is spinning inside, but it only lasts for a few seconds then stops.. and the computer never sees it again under devices. However when i unplug the tomtom it makes that sound when devices are taken out. Only one time it booted with the Tomtom logo in the devices menu, but then froze and since then i cannot get back to this stage.

Anyone know what i can do for this? I have a backup of my original settings and Europe map, but no idea how to put it back on there if i cant see it under devices. Thanks for anyone who can help!

Do a 30 second hard reset and reconnect to your computer.
