Advice please

Sorry to be a pain but I am getting more and more frustrated.
Some months ago I got my head around this whole downloading, patching business and it all worked a treat, I have been out of action for some short time but now when I come back to it and attempt to update my maps I cannot seem to down load anything, could some kind soul give me an idiots guide to downloading maps, please.
Also I have a TT one with no SD card and only 1GB space, is it possible to get a map with ALG for western europe to fit on this device, if not can anyone tell me how to get just France & Spain onto it.

Yes thanks.
I have read the tutorials etc and as I say everything was fine and I downloaded and updated everything I needed, no problem with updating but hte downloading seems to be impossible, I cannot get Linksave to work or any other download site, can anyone help please?
