    xl340 has become a brick!

OK....long story short....I've deleted the contents of my tomtom and wanted to format it. It won't format and when I click on it in Windows Explorer, it tells me its currently unusable and needs formatting. I've tried low level formatting, special formatting utilities specifically for flash/memory card drives and other tips and tricks, but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any suggestions?
    thanks!!!

If clearflash and a hard reset don't work try formatting using exFAT (available if you have Win 7). I'm not sure why, but I was able to revive a dead TT ONE using it. If exFAT works then you can re-format using FAT32 if you want.

try H2testw -- by Harald Bögeholz its a tool to test flash drives and cards especially the fake ones from the far east, it writes to the card/drive and then reads back the data to check if all the data is good, after you should be able to format.
