I install 890 us map on my Go 730 sd card. I clean the internal 2GB memory but one folder and two files i found on internal drive. Should i delete them or leave them alone? Folder is recycler and one file is autorun . info second file is internal date file. Both are 0 kb. Autorun .info is deleted by my antivirus.
Gps looks like working ok but sound is very low and gps starts with blank screen instead of picture.
Is there any way to fix these problems.
Recycler is a normal "trashbin" file, it's present in all windows drive and it's created when something is deleted.
Use scandisk (with fix) as first thing.
autorun.inf is a OK file if it's the original from tomtom. Most antivirus "block" this file independently (avira for example) from access/run.
Suspend antivirus temporarily and operate on drive.
At last you can also format the disk (if you wish.)..remember NOT to use ntfs.
Us tomtom home and reinstall all original software (it puts at the end the 9.430 navcore).
Use common utilities to "let" navcore use the map(s) you desire and to activate it/them.
one more question. My device's internal drive is empty. My gps is running from sd card and working ok. I installed all software and map on sd card. What you mean by reinstall original software? Do you mean to restore the deleted original old data from backup? Or from tomtom website? I think US 890 map is working because navcore 9.430 is already installed on my sd card by tomtom home.
