Can you help me to activate my map on my carminat tomtom

Hello,

I don't speak english very well but I understand. I'm french... . I try to explain you my problem.
I want to update my map because it's old 2009 but my carminat tomtom say "map western europe 890.4237 not activate"

First, i buy a new SD card.
Next, i copy the navcore 8.841.45339 in my card.
I extract .zip files in "DS1" to SD root.
I copy my ttgo.bif in my new SD card
I launch fastactivate 21.06.2012 and i click to "ttsystem/PNDNavigator" (it's OK)
I Rename ~tsystem to ttsystem.
I Create a folder with desire map name (Western_Europe_890_4237)
I Download map from MAP section and I extract file inside map folder
I Edit .pna file ("Western_Europe.pna") and change map name at first line "ID=Western_Europe.890.4237.pna")
I activate my map with fastactivate. I click to "maps/voices/speedcams" (western_europe-574.meta => .dct OK! meta.txt saved to i:\meta.txt)
I Put new SD in my Carminat device.

and my carminat say "map western europe 890.4237 not activate"
can you help me ? i don't see where is the problem

You need latest meta.txt and latest FastActivate:-
FastActivate

Create a text file with notepad called ttgo.bif (NOT ttgo.bif.txt) in the root directory of your sd card and inside put these lines
DeviceName=Carminat TomTom
DeviceUniqueID=XXXXXXXXXX ( Your Unique Device ID with no spaces)
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8842 (Your Current navcore version, this is the latest official)

Now go in the folder called "loopdir":
Delete the file called “ext3_loopback” or “loopback.ex3”.

0. I recommend to Use a fresh SD But put the sd in the carminat system first and boot up to initialize.

1. If you are using your old card and not a fresh card Put the original SDcard (Tomtom Carminat) in a card reader. (Make a full backup first with Explorer , Copy & Paste)

2. Open Tom-Tom Home with your old set up engaged, and take note of your Device ID
Help > System Information > Device Code > XXXXXXXXXX

3. Download the last navcore for Tomtom Carminat here:

4. Extract it with Winrar, then go to "install/DS_1" and copy these two file
• IA0000700005swlimage0.zip
• IA0000700005swlimage1.zip
> To your sdcard root.

5. Extract these files with winrar (right click > extract here) in the sdcard root (overwrite files if necessary).

6. Rename the file called "~tsystem" to "ttsystem".

7. Use FastActivate Premium Edition and patch the PNDnavigator file with it. FastActivate Premium 1.8.8.9

8. Create a text file with notepad called ttgo.bif (NOT ttgo.bif.txt) in the root directory of your sd card and inside put these lines
DeviceName=Carminat TomTom
DeviceUniqueID=XXXXXXXXXX ( Your Unique Device ID with no spaces)
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8842 (Your Current navcore version, this is the latest official)

9. Add your map folder in your sd-card root, Then use FastActivate to patch map FastActivate Premium 1.8.8.9 (and latest meta.txt).

Now go in the folder called "loopdir":
Delete the file called “ext3_loopback” or “loopback.ex3”.

I got on my TomTom Carminat version navcore 7842 and I must to upgrade to version 8842 that It will support 890 Europe maps?

Maby anybody help me pls.

i was try this :

1. I put the new Sandisk SDHC 8Gb card into the slot of Carminat navigation in renault scenic 2009
2. when I turn the car on the sd card write down the folder loopdir
3.Then I inserted the SD card in my computer, and read ApplicationVersionNumber = 7842 = Navcore
.
.
4.because this is the old navcore 7842, or do I need to upgrade to a newer version of 8842 that will support 890 maps of Europe?
