I have a XL 30 with Navcore 9.430 and UK&ROI map 900.4602 which all seems to work well except when I am driving along I keep getting this trumpet/bugle noise for no apparent reason it's some kind of warning but I don't know what it is.
I have tried looking through the various settings but I don't see any thing which would make that warning sound I would like to turn it off if possible any help appreciated..I do have the speed camera spoken warnings but it's not that..
I hope I have described it right.
Sounds like it may be the warning for exceeding the legal speed limit on the road that you are currently on. The newer maps contain a lot more detailed information on the speed limits on roads. Unticking the warning option about driving faster than allowed or driving faster than a set speed in the safety preferences options of your device will remedy the situation if it is indeed that option which is causing the alert. The speed display on your device should also turn briefly to red in colour when making the warning sounds.
If you're not speeding then it could be an "accident blackspot".
Go into TomTom Services / Speed Cameras / Change warning preferences.
Select each camera type in turn (the ones with a marker next to them) and click on the default warning icon (highlighted).
One (or more) will be a trumpet.
I don't need my TomTom to tell me when I am exceecing the speed limit. I have a device in the car that tells me the moment I have gone too fast and it's far more sensitive than any GPS. It's call a wife.
