TomTom 710, app 9.051, 900-map - how to disable TomTom-services ?

I have a 710, app. 9.015 and western_europe_900.4613.
I do not have live-services, but it seems the 710 is continuesly looking for the TomTom-server.
I guess this eats battery-power ... so can I disable those services?

Yes you can.

Go to the map folder and rename "tmccodes.dat" to something like tmcodes.dat.ori and rename "traffic.dat" to e.g. traffic.dat.ori.

The right sidebar for services will not show up anymore on your main screen, and consequently the looking up will cease.
